Din Tai Fung have been awarded with 1 Michelin star and rated as "World's Top 10 restaurant" by The New York Times, was ranked sixth in the list of "101 Best Restaurant in Asia" released by US-based food website The Daily Meal, touted as the world's second best franchise for travellers by CNN and locally the Pavilion branch has been voted as the top Chinese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur by TripAdvisor.
Din Tai Fung has its roots dating back to Taiwan 40 years ago, it was originally founded as a cooking oil retail shop in 1958 and transformed to a restaurant in 1972 serving Xiao Long Bao小笼包 (steamed dumpling).
With its famous signature xiao long bao and heart-warming steamed chicken soup, this authentic Taiwanese restaurant has been making waves with more than 100 branches throughout the world, including Singapore, Thailand, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and USA.

Golden Custard Egg Bun is one of the famous dim sum and always been searching high in chinese restaurant and this immediately become superstar at Din Tai Fung after launched. Soft and tender pastries, and just the right amount of sweetness, the filling is remain runny and milky even though put at there for 5-10 minutes to cool down. It was truly amazed me!
