Bangkok Trip 2016 | Eat at Bangkok

Stepped into year 2016, my first trip of the year is going to Bangkok with my friends! We met at my friend's birthday brunch on 16 Jan, then talked about where to travel in year 2016, one of my friend suddenly suggested whoever's schedule flexible then just go BKK next week and yay we booked air ticket on that day LOL! later you will know who is these crazy travellers in this trip, i admit that i am one of them hahaha! So? we packed and reach BKK airport on 23 Jan. We always like to visit our neighbouring country Thailand without plan, we just can't resist to visit this shopping heaven by taking 2 hours flight only. =)

We booked last minute flight with MAS Airline, it was cost RM417/pax, cheap or expensive?

Although we are crazy and too desperate to getaway, but as a smart consumer, we did research at AirAsia and Malindo Air before we booked. Compare with MAS, we found out Malindo Air is more expensive on our travel date and AirAsia is only cheaper RM50. Considering we have to walk far far away at KLIA 2 and non-efficiency check in system, we bought the less hassle one which is MAS!!!

WHAT TO DO IN BKK?

We did these in our 4D3N trip. Since we always visit Thailand, this round we gonna to skip all the places we went before such as The Grand Place, Asiatique The Riverfront etc. This is a very relaxing trip, we plan our itinerary every night before sleep. Of course we never miss out shopping heaven like Platinum Mall / Chatuchak weekend market / Siam Paragon/ Central World/ Terminal 21, i didn't managed to take picture during shopping, hello! shopping is more important la!

WE EAT AT HERE :

Lek Seafood | Narathiwatrachanakharin Road, Silom

It is not difficult to find a cheap seafood restaurant in Bangkok, but how's the taste like? Seriously, it can be real headache to finding a cheap but taste good seafood restaurant in the center of Bangkok, hmm... and the location better near BTS station so we don't need to take taxi stuck in that hell traffic jam or walk like hell.

Lek Seafood is a no frills eateries serve up the fresh seafood where nestled just underneath Chong Nonsi BTS station. The menu here is filled with typical grilled, stir-fried and boiled seafood dishes, but it is real cheap and delicious!

This is superb! Usually oysters omelet is soggy and rubbery but Lek's version was crispy and delicious. Can you see the fat fat oysters? it is so succulent and juicy. Highly recommended!

The prawns are massive and fresh, i can't remember the name of this dish, it's like chilli paste + garlic prawns. Highly recommended!

Steamed catfish in a broth of chilli and lime sauce, tender and moist meat, wonderfully appetizing!

Total bill is 1000 baht ONLY! (included 4 dishes, 4 rices, 2 coconut drink, 1 ice lemon tea, 1 watermelon juice). Lek Seafood is one of Bangkok's down-to-earth authentic Thai restaurant, keep this place in mind when you’re craving budget seafood in town.

Organika Secret Spa & Cafe | Sukhumvit Soi 49's Piman 49 complex

Huh? enjoy coffee here? where is the cafe?

Location at Piman 49 complex, it's a hidden gem in town, you can see a lot of Japanese at this area. I knew it from a Thai-instagrammer and i love this place at my first sight LOL! I love "all-white-deco" and "back into the wood" interior design.

Organika Secret Spa & Cafe located at 6th floor of this building in Sukhumvit Soi 49's Piman 49 complex. Organika is a famous Thai spa brand, have taken over the top two stories of this building and transformed the space into a full-white botanical heaven. One floor is dedicated to Organika Secret Spa while the top floor is a cafe which features healthy food menu created by Chalee Kader.

Reached 6th floor and i can't wait to visit this gorgeous ORGANIKA’s Glasshouse near the blue sky and surrounding by exotic and beautiful green plants and herbs.

Organika is popular with their fine aromatic drinks and organic healthy foods. Even though you only order this very common long black coffee, they will provide few flavour of aroma essence (lavender, toffee nut etc) for customer to add in.

Chocolate lavender & Mashmallow 245THB

I ordered this, one of their signature drink. When the mashmallow melted in this rich and creamy hot chocolate, it was a perfect addition to chocolate and fills my mouth with richness. Took a sip of it, it's luscious, smooth and mouth filling with lavender scent, OMG~~~ i love it so much!

For coffee, the price is between 120THB - 180THB and slightly higher for those signature drinks (180THB-380THB). Organika is not only offer coffee but also another variety of drinks such as detox fruit juice and wine. Price of foods is about 280THB - 450THB, Hi-Tea set is available too. I would said the price is consider in mid-range, just like TWG here. Anyway i love this ambience, i don't mind if leave me there alone for an afternoon LOL!

Karmakamet Diner Bangkok is in my must-visit-cafe list every time i travel to Thailand. I love the scent, i love the food, i love the ambiance the most! Karmakamet is an established brand in Bangkok known for its range of aromatic products, Karmakamet Diner is the latest creation.

Karmakamet Diner is a gorgeous and stunning restaurant. The restaurant is very well-furnished with so much thoughts, you'll find a surprise around every corner. When you are sitting there, try spend your 5 minutes to look around. On the dining table, you will find out your coaster is folded from envelopes, newspaper as dining table liners, potpourri sacks hanging from the ceiling, Karmakamet's essential oil bottles put neatly on racks.

I ordered the same dessert every time i went there LOL! Karmakamet diner's star dessert – The Strawberry In The Clouds.

Every one would love to selfie with this beautiful dessert, non-stop! hahaha...

I was absolutely addicted with their rustic wooden charm, it is such a secret world where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Price isn't too expensive, Karmakamet Diner no doubt is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Bangkok. It is definitely a place that I would highly recommend for a romantic date.
