Australia is one of the country that i love to visit again and again x 1000 times... I stayed at Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmania and Gold Coast before, i am so in love with their culture, green landscape, relaxed vibes dining scene and of course their foods, coffee and dessert!!! I wish to explore every part in Aussie! Australia known is one of the most exciting, creative and multicultural food scenes in the world. It has cemented its reputation as a foodie hotspot with some of the world’s best restaurants and innovative cafes, steered by imaginative and passionate chefs inspired by some of the finest produce around.
In this month, the Australian Food Trail comes to Malaysia! This is a month long campaign (From 1st May until 26th May 2017) organised by the Australian High Commission, Kuala Lumpur to celebrates Australia’s delicious foods as well as the strong people-to-people links between Australia and Malaysia.
There are 14 leading Malaysian restaurants and cafes showcasing their interpretation of Modern Australian cuisine :
Bon Ton, Bonfire, Breakfast Thieves, Burps and Giggles, China House, Common Man Coffee Roasters, Drift Dining, Enak KL, Indulgence Restaurant, Marble 8, Ruyi & Lyn, Southern Rock Seafood Restaurant, The Red Beanbag and Toowoomba Deli and Meats.
(Please visit Australian Food Trail's Facebook to know their featured dishes)
Each of these venues has a connection with Australia - Malaysian foodies bringing Aussie influences home from their travels; Aussie expats setting up shop in Malaysia; or chefs using Australia’s fresh, safe and sustainable produce in their gastronomic creations. Some of these participating venues will also offer their own special promotions during this time.
I was invited to attend the official launch event for the campaign at Breakfast Thieves, which is one of the participating venues in the campaign too. In the event, we have discovered the 'Australian' meal served by Breakfast Thieves.

Beetroot & citrus cured salmon with crisp rosemary polenta cubes, green pea puree, garlic yoghurt, mixed mushroom, crisp kale and poached eggs.
