Tujo Bar-sserie & Grill is located on the ground floor of the prestigious Ascott Residences in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, i have been there before because i heard this bar is helmed by the inimitable SOUL Society Group which owns other restaurant brands such as SOULed OUT, WIP and Hubba which are my favourite dining spots.
Also, i can't resist with the rejuvenated atmosphere, Tujo such as a tropical glasshouse bringing in some tropical foliage conveys an air of calm which is a welcome sight, especially when surrounded by so many skyscrapers.
As the Tujo's tagline is "Eat, Drink & Play", there is a good place for you to away the hours and enjoy good conversation over good food and drinks.
Recently, a new selection of premium cuts are available from The Grill. The infamous Tomahawk, a glorious 1.3kg Sanchoku Wagyu from Australia is now on the menu. With a wait time of an hour, it will be worth the wait especially when topped with Burnt Raclette, which is another new item on the menu.
Other meats are also available from The Grill like chicken, lamb, seafood with customised rubs and marinades.
Lemon Pepper Halibut
New dishes are definitely wrap your palate around are the Lemon Pepper Halibut and Black Miso Haddock.
Basil Walnut Chicken Pasta
Kuro Squid Ink Pasta with crab meat, sliced geoduck and salmon roe.
Teriyaki Chicken Pizza
A great combination with grilled chicken, white radish, bonito flakes with teriyaki sauce and wasabi mayo.
Chicken Wings in Korean spicy style breaded and deep fried.
Short Rib Nasi Lemak with grilled spicy short rib with papadum and boiled egg.
The rest of the food menu comprises of a fine selection of main courses, pastas, pizzas, salads, soups and light bites.
With my blogger friend, Elana.
Apart from the new food menu, The Bar comes a range of new cocktails too! With a wealth of ingredients available in Malaysia, Tujo believes that local ingredients stand up to pricier imported ones. There are 16 new "Malaysiana" drinks with an alcoholic twist to relish.
Some are true boozy interpretations of Malaysian favourites like the Hang Li Mau which sees the addition of rum to a meld of calamansi, lime juice and gula Melaka. This is my favourite among all too!
Well~ this ABC is different with the Malaysian dessert Ais Kacang, it is Alcoholic Batu Campur which is true to its name with the addition of tequila and Irish cream liqueur.
The new Bloody Mary Bar is all set for Happy Hour crowd which currently has an introductory offer of RM60++ for 2 hours of unlimited DIP Bloody Marys.
With 21 garnishing and condiments to choose from, that's quite a lot of permutations!
If you fancy an aphrodisiac, saunter up to their Pyster Bar and choose from fineIrish, Dutch or French oysters.
