Specializing in home-style Shanghai and Sze Chuan cuisine, Esquire Kitchen Restaurant was conceptualised in 1974 to offers home-cooked Shanghai and Sze Chuan foods. In 1974, a group of intellectuals from China got together every weekend for intellectual discourse on top of a bookshop at Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At these gatherings, this small group of scholars were served with home-cooked food by their wives while enjoying their tea and intellectual conversations. As time went by, these gatherings started to draw in bigger crowd. It became apparent that its popularity was due to the delicious “home-cooked” food that was served!
Recently, Esquire Kitchen has just relocated its outlet at Subang Parade.

There are over a handful of principle plates to choose from, most with a porky theme. The promotion has been designed for lunchtime/ dinnertime guests with budget, so dining out doesn't have to put a huge dent in your wallet.
I've tried some dishes from the promo menu :
Char Choy Fish Ball Noodles
Frankly speaking, you will seldom see this dish in the menu of a big Chinese restaurant as Char Choy Fish Ball Noodles is a home cooked recipe. Each bowl of Char Choy Fish Ball Noodles is served with generous servings of bouncy fish balls, a light-tasting soup with a hint of saltiness from Char Choy.
Sesame Minced Pork Shanghai Noodle
A 'dry' version chewy noodles served with minced pork and garnished with toasted sesame, crunchy peanuts, thinly sliced cucumber and carrots.
Pork Chop Noodles
Pork chops are grilled to perfection, served atop a bed of springy noodles with a tasty broth. Such a nice weeknight dinner.
Cantonese Style Mixed Rice
Stir Fry LatChi Chicken Rice
Rice served with spicy stir fry chicken, the sauce from that chicken that goes great over rice, it is flavourful and delicious.
Apart from the good value promotion menu, there are plenty of à la carte options :
Prawns in Golden Salted Egg RM52.90
A stir fry of prawns coated with a luscious sauce made from the salted egg yolk, the salty and aromatic sauce that goes great with the succulent prawn. It's finger licking good!
Mok Shue Yok RM26.50 (Regular) | RM33 (Large)
Pick the vermicelli noodles which stir fry with scallions, beansprouts, eggs, carrots, black fungus and minced pork, then wrapped all into a spring roll skin.
